Kindly find the below findings from my end regarding this incident. I think this might be a driver problem, so I tried going on the Dell website to find a driver for the touchpad, but all I can find are drivers for Windows XP and Vista 32-bit. I found a fix for F22 though, on askubuntu. I downloaded the latest driver from dell website the touchpad started working back again. But now I have upgraded to Windows 8.1 yesterday and for some reason that my Touchpad/Mousepad has stopped working… The touchpad on my laptop (HP Envy*) isn't working. Assuming U R using a laptop just tap in the top of the mouse control box if there is a check mark in that little box. There are two ways to update your touchpad driver: manually and automatically.Update your touchpad driver manually - You can update your driver manually by going to the hardware manufacturer’s website, and searching for the latest driver for your touchpad.
